Lead Application Developer

Overview:

Great opportunity to join a growing stable company as a Lead Developer for existing and new application development. This role will support the management of the team by functioning as the technical lead and may be required to manage the development effort on projects. Will utilize Microsoft technologies to design, develop and maintain applications mostly written in C#.

Necessary Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines, while appropriately raising issues to management to prevent surprises.
  • Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML and the DOM.
  • Minimum of 6 years of software development
  • Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, Design Patterns, N-tier arch., Web Services 
  • A self-starter who also demonstrates help-seeking and collegial behavior.
  • Proficient in designing for large scale applications with thousands of concurrent users
  • Experience with requirements gathering, specification drafting also a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of new processes as necessary to ensure mission critical systems are completed; provide expertise in identifying appropriate methodologies for large-scale development efforts.
  • Ensures team compliance with standards and procedures ( eg. Documentation, version control, implementation). Recognizes code, process and/or standard in efficiencies and suggests new standards and opportunities for improvement.
  • Development and presentation of business requirements documentation and technical specifications.
  • Analysis of system requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of existing systems.
